CraigTube Making Wine Part 2

Steriliza all equipment Put about a gallon of warm water in your fermenter Add first package (numbered) Bentonite - helps yeast and helps prepare the wine, stir in quite throughly until no solids left Add grapejuice - grab bag and pour in the juice ll j Fill bag up with a little warm water, shake to get all juice.... empty into fermenter Stir wine well Add cold water at this point, fill just below the fill line (in case you have to add more warm or cold water) want final temperature to be 75 degrees... add a thermometer to the get a reading top to 5 gallon mark and stir again to make sure temperature is even throughout the must Insert hydrometer and give it a spin read numbers where it touches the liquid. He got a reading of 1.080 ( normal) Take a final temp to confirm and add yeast... it will multiply and consume the sugars in the juice... CO2 will go out through the air lock...spread yeast evenly over top of your must .. do NOT stir.. snap on the lid. Attach airlock and fill it half full of water, snap on the little cap. Wine is ready to ferment Wine should be above 72 degrees. Once you put your yeast in you don't want to move the container. Ferment for 8 days.
